Sustainable quality

Film used in applications where extreme properties of the material are very important. You may think of extreme temperature resistance, chemical resistance, mechanical properties, etc.

Kapton film

Kapton™ polyimide film from DuPont de Nemours is particularly characterized by the extreme temperature resistance, but Kapton™ also has a combination of properties not found in other film. Kapton™ is briefly resistant to temperatures ranging from –260° C to + 400° C. Moreover, it will not burn easily, will not melt, but eventually it will carbonize. Its chemical resistance is also of a very high standard.

Fluoro film

Teflon™ related films from DuPont de Nemours not only have a high level of temperature resistance of over 200°C, they are also chemically inert, which makes these films very well resistant against all sorts of chemicals. The product groups Tefzel™, FEP and PFA consist of a range of films with superior anti-stick characteristics, combined with low frictional and excellent optional properties, very good electrical characteristics and suited for applications outdoors.

ULTEM™ polyetherimide film

POLYVANTIS is the producer of ULTEM™ polyetherimide.

This plastic has a higher temperature resistance than polycarbonate and complies with UL demands regarding fire-resistance. The film has a gold/yellow colour and is available in thickness measures from 25µ. The film is processed in electrical isolation applications and in places where temperatures of about 200° and/or fires-resistant characteristics play a part.

VALOX™ pbt film

POLYVANTIS is the producer of VALOX™, a thermoplastic polyester. Owing to the UL94 VTM-0 classification, from a thickness of 125µ VALOX™ is pre-eminently suited for a variety of electrical isolation applications. The film has a white colour and can be supplied in thicknesses of 75µ to 750µ.

Other sustainable film

Other examples of High performance film in the POLYVANTIS Snij-Unie range are:

  • PEEK film
  • PES polyethersulfone film
  • Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride film
